We are BTC – Be The Cause
A community-based youth development organisation established to use sport, education, discipline and positive values to create opportunities for children and young people in the Langeberg community.
Who We Are
Rooted in our community
BTC Foundation, meaning “Be The Cause”, works directly with children, parents, guardians, schools, clubs and community partners. We create structured, safe spaces where young people can play, learn and be guided by people who care about their growth.
We are based in McGregor and serve the Langeberg Municipality, including Robertson, Montagu, Ashton, McGregor, Bonnievale. Our work is practical: coaching, mentorship, equipment support and access to opportunities that many families simply cannot fund on their own.

To use sport, education, discipline and positive values to develop confident, responsible young people, and to remove the barriers that keep children out of sport.

Why Sport Matters
Sport teaches lessons a classroom cannot
Sport gives young people structure, belonging and purpose. On the field they learn to work with others, to lose without giving up, to respect rules and officials, and to keep showing up.

We work where we live. Our programmes are designed around the realities of small-town life: limited transport, limited equipment and limited access to structured sport.
